Fratelli Alinari was one of the world’s oldest photographic firms, founded in Florence, Italy in 1852. Its archives contained 5.5 million photographs, ranging from daguerreotypes to modern digital photos from around the world. A unique selection of photographic material from Alinari’s huge and prestigious archives of photography have been deposited in the Arctic World Archive.
