Since 2019, the Big Data Studies Lab (BDS) has pursued experimental research that rethinks the role of the humanities in the Zettabyte era. BDSL’s objective is not hasty theorization but rather to empirically demonstrate our arguments through experiments and field research.
BDSL deposit a part of “Archives of the Future” research focus concerning bit durability and how digital historians can, and should, act in response to the impending digital dark age.
